The wonderful people I'm working

Dr Merel Breedveld
Seal of Excellence UNIPD (soon-to-be Marie Curie fellow)
Merel has recently joined the group to work on a project on the effects on heatwaves on reproduction, sexual selection, cognition.

Dr Alessandro Devigili
Post-doc
Alessandro is working on the sperm selection project, looking at how female reproductive fluid can select sperm at the intra-ejaculate level. His work also will involve soon looking at the composition of the FRF to better understand mechanisms underlying the effects of FRF in many processes happening after the mating/spawning.

Livia Pinzoni
PhD student
(co-supervised with Prof. Mariella Rasotto)
Livia's PhD project is focussed on the dynamics of the processes governing fertilization, including sperm competition and cryptic female choice using zebrafish (with me) and a goby (with prof Rasotto).

Maria Santacà
collaborator
Maria has worked with the zebrafish to discover the marvellous mechanisms of pre- and post- female mate choice, with specific role of odour and MHC in these types of choice.

Some of the awesome people I have worked with in the (recent) past:
Dr Silvia Cattelan
Post-doc (UNIPD)
Silvia has worked on the sperm selection project, studying whether the female reproductive fluid can enable the female to select the best/most compatible sperm to use for fertilization.
Dr Federica Poli
Post-doc (UWA)
Now postdoctoral researcher at the University of Padova (UNIPD)
Bianca Melita Palmas
Research assistant (UWA)
Undergraduate students:
Oliviero Borgheresi (Master in Biologia Marina)
Michele Vico (Bachelor in Biologia)
Stefano Favaro (Bachelor in Scienze Naturali)
Beatrice Magalini (Bachelor in Scienze Naturali)
