The wonderful people I'm working with
Merel Breedveld
MSCA fellow
Merel works on a project on the effects on heatwaves on reproduction, sexual selection, and cognition. More in Merel's website: https://merelbreedveld.weebly.com/

Sofia Gigliotti
PhD student
Sofia studies on the effect of climate change on behavioural and reproductive traits, using the giant hissing cockroach as model organism, in collaboration with Enzo Moretto at Esapolis (insects museum)

Chiara Morosinotto
Researcher (rtdA)
Chiara has joined our groups (with Andrea Pilastro and Gil Rosenthal) to work on the PNRR- funded project on climate change. Working mostly with the guppy.

Livia Pinzoni
collaborator
Livia has recently finished her PhD project that focussed on the dynamics of the processes governing fertilization, including sperm competition and cryptic female choice using zebrafish (with me) and a goby (with prof Rasotto). Now she's working on fantastic other things, but we are still collaborating on the sperm selection projects.

Francesco Santi
Post-doc (UNIPD)
Francesco has just joined the group to work on PFAS pollution on lab-based and field-based studies. In collaboration with Marianna Pauletto, Andrea Barbarossa and Giovanni Polverino on a PRIN-funded project. More coming soon...

Undergraduate (master) students:
Veronica Viola (master in Biologia Evoluzionistica), working on coackroach and heatwaves
Nadia Zanelli (master in Biologia Evoluzionistica) working on guppies and heatwaves
Francesco Leonardi (master in Biologia Evoluzionistica) working on guppies and PFAS pollution

Some of the awesome people I have worked with in the (recent) past:
Alessandro Devigili
Post-doc (UNIPD)
Alessandro has worked with me on the zebrafish sperm selection project and on the PFAS pollution project with the guppy (with Marianna Pauletto).
Maria Santacà
Post-doc (UNIPD)
Maria has worked with me on the zebrafish to discover the marvellous mechanisms of pre- and post- female mate choice, with specific focus on the role of MHC in these types of choice. Now post-doc fellow at the University of Vienna.
Silvia Cattelan
Post-doc (UNIPD)
Silvia has worked with me on the sperm selection project, studying whether the female reproductive fluid can enable the female to select the best sperm to use for fertilization. Now post-doc at Leibniz Institute on Aging.
Federica Poli
Post-doc (UWA)
Federica has helped me setting up the zebrafish research line and discover the first female reproductive fluid - gamete interaction in this species. Now post-doc at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, Genova.
