Projects currently running in my lab are:

HEATWAVES, ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR AND FERTILITY
We are looking at the effect of few hot days on several, and crucial, aspects, including fertility, cognition, and inter-generational effects. Also interested in looking at sex specific differences and at sensitivity of different life stages
Species used: guppy, zebrafish, cockroach

FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE FLUID AND SPERM SELECTION
We have recently demostrated that the female fluid is able to differently attract and boost motility of sperm from the preferred male, We also have shown that this ability seems to apply to sperm selection intra-ejaculate. Projects on this topic include sperm selection and inter-generational effects of the interplay between gametes.
Species used: zebrafish

POLLUTION, ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR AND FERTILITY
We have running projects aimed at comprehensively study how PFAS pollution affect acquatic animals on fertility and behaviour by investigating molecular mechanisms of gene expression.
Lab-based and field approach
Species used: guppy, mosquitofish
